Hello everyone, and welcome back to another Kiiroo blog! In today’s episode, I’ll be diving into the Kiiroo Control, a device that promises a lot in terms of interactivity with Kiiroo’s range of products. So, let’s jump right into it.
Today, I’m here to give you the lowdown on the Kiiroo Control. If you’re new to this device, it’s an attachment for Kiiroo Strokers that not only controls other toys but also interacts with media in interesting ways.
Unboxing: A detailed look at what you get when you open the box.
Usage Guide: How to use the Kiiroo Control, including pairing with the Kiiroo Connect app.
Interactive Features: Understanding how to control another toy and some of the unique media control capabilities.
Final Review: My thoughts on the device after spending time with it.
The packaging is quite discreet, which is a big plus for privacy. Inside, you’ll find the Kiiroo Control alongside the Kiiroo Clear Pocket Stroker, though I’ll save the review of the stroker for another video. The control itself is well-packaged, ensuring no damage during shipping.
The contents include:
The Kiiroo Control,
A USB charging cable,
Basic instructions.
The instructions are somewhat basic, but don’t worry, I’ll cover much more here.
Once you get past the packaging, the control itself is quite minimalistic yet functional. It’s designed to fit both the Pocket and FeelStar ranges of Kiiroo toys. The control has a charging port at the back, covered by a protective rubber plug, ensuring longevity and safety of the device.
Turning On: Press and hold the blue button under the sticker. It flashes blue when entering connect mode for app pairing.
Modes: A single press changes the light to green for video control mode, where you can navigate media directly from the toy. Another press reverts it back to connect mode.
Turning Off: Hold the blue button again until it flashes white.
Ensure Bluetooth is on, and the app is installed.
In the app, press the “connect new toy” button, turn on your control, and pair it. Once connected, the light stays blue, and you’ll see a green tick in the app.
With both toys connected in the app, select “device to device” control. Here, you can set the Kiiroo Control as the main device and another toy like the Kiiroo Keon as the device to control. The interaction is real-time; for instance, shaking the control will mimic actions on the Keon.
Dimensions: 49 mm high, 69 mm wide, weighing 124 grams.
Media Control: Beyond toy interaction, it offers media navigation, allowing you to skip or rewind videos without needing to touch your device’s screen or remote.
Initially, I was underwhelmed because I didn’t understand its full potential. However, once I got the hang of it, I realized its value. It’s not just about controlling another toy; it’s about making the whole experience more interactive and seamless, especially with media. It’s affordable for what it offers and compatible with many Kiiroo toys.
Kiiroo has opened up its SDK, which means developers can create apps and games where the Kiiroo Control acts as an interface. I’ve played around with this idea and see huge potential, although I’m not the most tech-savvy. If you’re a developer with a cool idea or app, get in touch; I’d love to showcase it on my channel.
